Apostle Kawinga urges flood survivors to go winter cropping
Salvation For All Ministries International leader Apostle Clifford Kawinga has asked well-wishers to support people affected by floods with farm inputs to enable them grow crops during the winter.
He said this on Wednesday at Kaigwazanga in Traditional Authority (T/A) Kawere in Mchinji District where the church’s Hope Field Initiative provided support to over 600 households affected by floods in the area.

Kawinga encouraged communities to form clubs which he pledged to support with farm inputs.
He said the initiative seeks to empower vulnerable people to be self-reliant by promoting food security and sustainable livelihoods.
“We will support households with plastic sheets, tents and food items. However, for recovery, we will support them with fertiliser, seed and equipment to grow crops during the winter period,” said Kawinga.
Mchinji district commissioner Reinghard Chavula said the donation will ease congestion at the camp.
“The support is tremendous because as government alone, we would not have reached all survivors,” she said.
Apart from donating K915 000 to Stella Kachepa who lost money belonging to a village savings and loans group during the disaster, Kawinga supported the establishment of a village savings and loans group among the affected households with K10 million.
